| CLUB NEWS Congratulations to Christina Pavlov for being presented with the Gold Coast Tweed District Ladies Bowling Association Player of the Year for 2009 trophies on Monday 22nd February - well done Christina. George Thompson Chairman of the Gold Coast Tweed Head District Association presented Sean Baker with the prestigious Gold Coast Player of the Year Award on Thursday 4th February before his fellow members at Broadbeach Bowls Club. The Broadbeach Bowls Club is very proud of both Christina & Sean's achievements. Congratulations to Sean Baker for being chosen as the skipper of the Australian Team which went to New Zealand on Monday 22nd February. Congratulations to Anne McClure, Dennis Margan,Christina Pavlov & Dave Gardiner winners of the Redlands $4500 Summer Carnival mixed fours. They were the only undefeated team after 6 games over 2 days of play. It's CPI time again. The Board has been mindful of price increases so much so that price increases with Beer will NOT effect members for an interim period. Beer and soft drinks will NOT increase just yet, only wine and spirits. The Club has been successful in its application to host the 2010 Australian Junior Championships 27th - 30th September. This is a prestige NATIONAL event being held for the first time out of NSW. Heritage Building Society is a sponsor of the Club, its up to the members to support them.
